    silencer thread issue

    basically i have a g36c with a 14 mm ccw thread. recently i bought an element silencer with correct thread.
    i put the ccw end and attempted to screw it on. however it just slides on and off.

    is the thread on the outer barrel worn and if it is how can i solve this issue
