GHK G5 Bolt Lock

Hi all, I've been having a bit of trouble with my GHK G5 lately, the bolt lock function is completely useless unless I tilt the gun counter clockwise (if you were looking from the back). Once it is tilted it works 99% of the time. I followed instructions from a popular company that supplies replacement GHK parts which made me cut the spongy rubber bit on the bottom of the catch. This has had no effect at all so I'm wondering what could be the problem. (I've tested this on all mags and its the same every time, and yes... it is clean)
