Hi capa 5.1 slide problems

Bought a boneyard 5.1 to learn the trigger and hammer part of the gun (as i was to chicken to take apart my working one) with the main problem being the slide, now I've fixed the main obvious problem which was the loading nozzle had imploded somehow so I replaced it with a spare, sorted, or so I thought the completed slide slides on to the frame sometimes but gets stuck others and when it does cock back when the trigger is pulled it vents gas straight down the barrel.

Any ideas? Its not getting stuck on the hammer it seems further down then that like near where the loading nozzle sits, could be the cause somehow of the blown up first one.
