WE G18c Slide Problem

So I am in the process of disassembling a WE G18c, everything has been fine until now, I have gotten to the blowback unit for the slide, no matter what I do I cannot seem to remove it. In the majority of threads and videos that I have see the unit tends to just slide out once the fie selector has been removed. This is not the case with this one, even after applying small amounts of force I cannot remove it, has anyone got any ideas on what the problem could be
