WE M92 gen2 hammer won't stay cocked.

Hi guys,

I have a problem with my recently bought WE M92 gen2 GBB pistol. Basically, as described in the title the hammer won't stay cocked when I pull and release the slide. Also, when I manually pull the hammer back with my thumb it almost never stays cocked, only if I do it really slowly and even then a slight push on the hammer sets it loose.

I've had a look inside the gun and I think I've tracked the problem down to a spring loaded part of the firing/safety mechanism (circled in the attached photo). The slide is catching/pushing down on it when it shouldn't from the looks of it. I have no idea how to fix it though.

Has anyone had any experience in dealing with this problem?
