[Solution] M9 gbb blowback problem: burst fire and half cycling SR92 SRC technician t
5 September, 2015, 18:58
Problem: every time I pull the trigger, the m9 fires a burst of a few weak shots of gas and the slide is not pushing the hammer back into the cocked position each time(allowing the hammer to spring back forward) and doesn't chamber another bb either. The gun is not cycling fully. The slide or frame doesn't seem to have any unordinary friction and the internals are intact.
Possible solution: not enough gas getting into the blowback unit for the slide to blowback fully. Problem is likely to be caused by the release valve button (on the back of the magazine) not being pushed in far enough by the valve knocker. Using a kjw m9 magazine fixed this problem as it has a release valve button that protrudes slightly more, allowing the valve knocker to press the valve buttom in fully and enough gas to be released.
Modifying or replacing the release valve may also fix it.
