usp .45 hammer

hi,
i've had this problem with my ksc usp for a while now. I brought it off this forum totally knackered and sorted it out, but the one last problem is the amount of play in the hammer. There's so much it catches on the underside of the slide and prevents it returning when it recoils, leaving it looking like it's locked back. I am not too sure how the sort this out and was wondering if anyone has any ideas.
