  • Prometheus Barrel Alternative

    Hi guys,

I am looking to upgrade my M14 EBR ( G&G ) and am looking at inner barrels. What would you recommend? Are there any good alternatives to the Prometheus barrel?
    ?

    Thanks in advance

Prometheus or PDI in 6.03 or 6.05 for AEG / EBB.
ZCI aren't bad but if your spending out I don't see why you go that little bit more on budget.
If you've got the volume then a stock TM barrel is great.

Ultimately your paying for straightness, consistency of bore and finish.
The TM has these attributes just not the tighter bore for the FPS hike.

Personally bang for buck it's hard to beat the Prommy.

    What's your usage? DMR?

Yeah, DMR. So want to improve the grouping and range really.

Go with a 6.03 this will have the best long range performance.

Seeing as your going to be semi only don't correct the AOE (if you were planning on it), you need all the volume you can get from your cylinder.

For length I'd go somewhere between 430-450 but no longer than 450, this will keep your barrel ratio the right side of 2.0 which you'll need to accelerate those 0.30 - 0.36 BB's all the way to the end of the barrel

Make sure the inner barrel is well supported so there's no wobble between it and the outer barrel.
