Sniper shorty project?

Hey guys,
I had an idea for what would be a good turn out as long as nothing went wrong.

My idea is to make a shorty L96. (the stocks look nicer and are more comfortable in my opinion). The standard barrel would be cut down to where the stock ends.
I know it would probably look feck ugly to some people but I'd be building it for practical purposes: to reduce the weight and the size to allow better concealment and manoeuvrability.

The only problem that I would have is this: the bit that screws on to the end of the outer barrel wouldn't be there as I've cut it off and taken away the thread. How would I go about creating a thread to allow the barrel end back on?

I don't think it would be a simple job but it's worth an ask as there would be someone who's good with tools or whatever is required to pull this off.
