Fams using M4 mags

Hello

Im trying to get my Famas to take M4 mags.

due to the midacps being £30 for 60 rounds...

have tried doing it, then found this guide

just worried as ive not cut the back of mine like this



instead ive cut all of the back bit out...not just where the m4 mag juts out... will this be a problem?

im sure I can still find the bits I cut off and glue them back on to make it have a narrower hole..
