  • maruzen l96 spring advice needed

this is going to sound odd but i want to reduce the power of a clone l96 maruzen from 480fps to sub 350fps ,i might mention the parts are in a custom lee enfield no 4 and i want to use it as a battle rifle with normal engagement distance rather than a sniper role.i know that a restriction can be nut in the nozzle but im after a softer cocking action for more easy rapid fire,so the question is what spring will do the job to get 330-350fps?

take out the spring, put in a smaller one, takes about 5 minutes.... job done

+1 and you would need either a m120 or m130 spring to give you that power

M100s are rated 330fps, so if theres a crap compression, go m110.

You can`t use aeg springs you need Laylax sp springs sp100 springs are hard to find, you can get a sp110 on zeroone which depending on your other parts should give you around 360-380fps.

Re: maruzen l96 spring advice needed

the laylax 130 will be hot,

i used a 150 mate in stock cylinder and gave 509 until settled at 490

using the 130 with the warrior cylinder ( i assume as you said clone ) will be over 380

the 100 spring would have given you about 340-350 with all compression and air seal sorted
