Maruzen l96 sound reduction help!!
21 February, 2009, 20:05
As i have the upgraded zeroone maruzen it makes quite a hefty noise when fired, are there any thurther upgrades ''to the internals'' i could make to make the shot quieter, i saw this and thought it might work but will it f**k up the guts of the weapon approx 2.mi 50sec into the clip.

Re: Maruzen l96 sound reduction help!!
damper pads that z1 sell make the sound a little bit better, as the whole stock is hollow, that is a problem, once that is filled with material, it sounds much better.

A silencer and cammo tape covering the gun will help a bit if you dont want to risk internal upgrades

Re: Maruzen l96 sound reduction help!!
"Sound Suppression:
There are a few ways to suppress sound other than the use of a silencer and cylinder head damper pads.
A very effective sound reducer is filling the butt side of your stock with expanding foam, and wrapping your trigger and filling the rest of your stock (most empty space) with ‘Dynamat’ or other vibration/sound reducing foam/material."
Hope that helps,
Alex (mj23lj)

Re: Maruzen l96 sound reduction help!!
im a trainee sound engineer, so i think i may be able to help
as mj has already said, DYNAMAT in the stock is a great aid in dampening the sound of an l96. also, acoustic tiles(look like big sqares of cheapy foam, but theyre high density, so arent really cheap at all) are about 2 quis a piece on ebay. cutting one up and putin it in the stock also REALLY helps, even more so than dynamat
