Sniper RIFLE, please get it right So many people call it just a 'sniper' but the sniper is the person who uses it.

As for the teflon coated BB's, try and get the white ones. Decigon teflon black's bugger your hop-up with the teflon coating coming off the BB's.

Get either marui .3's, sgm .29's or guarder .28's they seem to have less variation than digicon.
The tighter barrel and barrel spacers and probably the most important upgrades you can put in. So do them first!
Teflon cylinder isn't necessary it just helps things flow smoother.
You may want to change your piston as well and the put a power accuracy cup on it.

It is better to call thing by their real name as in the long run it gets less confusing also if you call things by their real name it helps to show what your talking about.

            Just my 2 cents But!

For what you are about to pay for the L96 and the upgrades can I suggest that instead you go out and buy a TM VSR 10 and a scope. I promise you will get far more out of this weapon than any other bolt action rifle when you first start out. The rifle itself is very well made and will last for years, the hop system is one of the best on any gun at any price and it will match or beat almost any aeg out of the box for range and even as standard it is one of the most accurate rifles in the sport. Don't think that because every one else upgrades the hell out of their rifles that you have to. I have come up against many players using stock weapons 100 more effectively than people running around with £700 worth of Uber Sniping Stick's.

If you do get into it and you want to upgrade at a later date then the VSR is one of the best platforms to start from. And if you decide sniping isn't for you then TM VSR will be very easy to sell on.

Have a look around read a few reviews and take most of what people say with a pinch of salt. Then if you still want to go the bolt action route get the VSR.

              totally agree

getting a chinese gun then spending money upgrading it so that it matches a good japanese gun makes no sense

something like a tm vsr is a great rifle - or even a maruzen l96 if you can budget one

the bar-10's are almost equal to the vsr and takes all the same upgrades so you could look into one of these. I had a vsr for years and loved it the only reason I sold it was to go to using gas guns and the Aw338.

                    Re: Sniper Project Help

i would also suggest getting a vsr over upgrading a chinese l96.

i got one not that long ago and im keeping it stock for a while.

it'll only be running at about 250 fps or so.

with that kind of power you have to rely on fieldcraft more. - makes life more interesting.

i also suggest a vsr tho for some reason mine doesnt like the heavier ammo like .43s and such so i use xtreme .3s you get 3333 for 15 quid delivered from a certain site way up north which i thinks damn cheap compared to other .3s

If Carlsberg made Airsoft teams..............They would still get raped by the G.Z.C.F

The inner barrel is definitely a good upgrade probably the most important other than the spring.

Also i would recomend the marui VSR.

                            Thanks, Josh

Sorry to enforce if that's all I'm doing, but as others have said:

Priority: High quality - TB Barrel, Hop-Up Bucking, and Barrel Spacers.

Then you can go on to do everything else which is mainly power upgrades.

As this is your first sniper rifle, I say you will struggle much more so with an L96 than with a VSR. Don't cheap out and go for a BAR-10 if you are going to upgrade, they are great if you aren't really going to upgrade, but otherwise they have lots of niggling problems.

And if you want them, do get Digicon Teflon .36's. I think they are some of the best BB's I have ever used (and it's hard to find others of that weight). If you are maintaining your rifle properly then you should never get a build up of Teflon on your bucking (or inside your barrel), so it shouldn't effect your rifle's performance.

                            Hope it all goes well,

                            Alex (mj23lj)
