L96 magazine comparability

I have been gifted an L96 in a roundabout kind of way.

It has been covered in sniper tape for donkeys years and had a decent camo job over the top of that so I don't really want to strip the tape back to find out what it is.

Are they all clones of one brand or another, ergo any L96 mag will fit or are they specific to each brand?

It is a relatively old gun firing circa 340fps (manually loaded 1 BB at a time) if that will help at all.

Aside from my WE GBBR SVD I have had very little interest in airsoft sniping (does it show with my level of ignorance on the sniper platforms?) but as it was a freebie I am willing to give it a go.
