Cyber Gun SVD
12 May, 2014, 12:53
Hi guys I'm looking at purchasing an svd however the brand is cyber gun and not a&k, I was wondering are they compatible with the same parts e.g Aspuk upgrade bits? I've had a look on google but I think the cyber gun must be fairly new as not a lot out there...
If that's the case, I understand that it take aeg springs, now I also read somewhere they need spacers if I do use a new spring, is this true?
Moving into the hop and barrel as ideally I'd like to keep the stock spring and bump up the fps by other means as I think the bolt is already pretty hard to pull back... Is it possible to perform the R hop mod on this rifle if I use the Aspuk advanced hop unit? And also is it now best to go with a 6.08 barrel rather than typical .01 tightbore?
Finally are there any suggestions on improving the fps consistency? I want to get it as good as possible to keep shots more Accurate, I've had previous snipers which vary by up to 15 fps each shot, which does make a difference to where it's gonna land especially at range!
Thanks for any help guys.
Fizzy

Re: Cyber Gun SVD
Pretty sure the Cybergun is just a rebranded A&K

Re: Cyber Gun SVD
No, the ASG / Cybergun brand are not fully compatible with most after market upgrade parts.
If you want to fully upgrade with i.e. ASPUK parts then best to go A&K.
The king arms version isn't too bad though. Again, some parts are not fully upgradeable so A&K is the best route.
