  • Re: Sniper Upgrades (based on a VSR) and Further Guide

lol, cool, thanks, I will keep that in mind in case mine wears, I know the one I have is fine yust thought the piston would be made to fit it better , it kind of floats around.

    So the grub screw anyone??

The grub screw is to be used instead of the airbreak I believe

Airbrake? Sorry, I am new to Springers.

Have just finished the upgrade and doh... 531, with a 150 spring (I have the 130 too) but was wondering wether this Laylax setup beds in and loses any fps?

the tip of the PSS10 piston is white and you can unscrew and replace with the grub screw. meant to increase FPS and and increase noise

great, thanks for the info. I need to lose 30 fps from my 150 spring or gain 55 on my 130 spring :| any ideas?

it won't lower fps that much from use...

best thing to do is somply cut half a coil off the 150 spring (piston end) at a time to see what it then chrono's in at

good call Badas I may do that but another thought occured to me, the PSS10 silent damper pads.. I heard that they reduce FPS, normal considered an issue rather than a solution, I may try these first.

Anyone ever used the dampening pads? comments? advice ?

                Thanks again

                PS.. pity there isn't a 140 spring

Had a guy use a TM VSR with them installed firing the rifle next to mine.... bugger all difference so would recomend cheaper home made ones and/or chop the spring

Need help guys I've fitted new spring, spring guide, piston and sear gears, but when I pull the bolt back it snaps forward, but when I put the original parts back in it works fine ,so I got to thinking do I need to change the cylinder. Cheers gaz oh it's JG Bar 10

                      • Yeah that sounds like either the cylinder or the spring guide stopper... Not exactly sure which one?
                        Is it the stock cylinder?

doubt it being a cylinder issue, more so the sears / spring guide stopper... just make sure spring are the right way round etc etc,

what makes are the new parts?

Yes it is a stock cylinder, sear guys are action army as is the spring guide, spring and piston are laylax, I noticed that with the piston you get a small screw with it , what is this for . Cheers gaz

The small screw is the replacement of the airbrake on the piston to up the fps but decrease the silencing effect
