Think I may have made a significant breakthrough.
******* ***** are selling a few parts for bar 10s, at around £30 a piece. The receiver, hop up unit and barrel, the cylinder, springs, as well.
They also have very cheap m4 receivers, I think they are simply outer shells but would be good for what I needed. Thoughts?
The receiver that comes with the barrel and hop up unit doesn't look like much, but should it? Is there actually anything to the receiver unit?
Also, what is actually inside the cylinder?

Re: Building a bolt action rifle from scratch
I would seriously consider picking up the working gear from a BAR and custom building the stock.

Yeah. The m4 receiver approach poses too many problems. Guess my hunt for bar parts is on!
