  • Maruzen Type 96 Problems

Recently got a second hand Maruzen L96, has been fine, but the hop really lets it down. It has the PDI hop unit installed but i've heard it doesnt work too well when using below .36's. I use either .25's of .3's and the hop doesnt stay consistent. I'll pick the gun up, load some .25's - the first shots will fire straight then they'll start to shoot up at about 50yrds. Then i load some .3's and they drop at about 30yrds. Any help that anyone could give would be fantastic.

    Cheers,

    Jon

    Re: Maruzen Type 96 Problems

It depends on the hop rubber you are using in the pdi unit

The pdi is a pain in the ass to set up right if you have never used I before

also the range drop will happen due to heavier bb. But it would only effect it after 50m not 30 yards

Try to adjust the hop for .3s mate and stick with them as they are better in the long and short range shooting of the rifle

    Hope it helps

also try a new madbull red hop rubber or a promithious hop rubber for the hop unit if not doing so already
