JG bar 10 double feeding problem

Ok well, i was out planking and sighting in my scope and for some reason out of no were my bar 10 started fireing two rounds instead of one, i went in and had a look online to see if this sort of problem has happened before and indeed it has, the problem lay with the U shape part in the hop up that stopped the rifle from double feeding, the problem was that the spring worn down. I took my hop-up apart and replaced the old spring with a pen spring as it said to do on the internet, I put everything back together and went out again and it's still doing it, i don't know what else to do so any advice will be appraciated, thanks alot guys.

tried a different mag?

it may not be the actual spring causing this

check the actual bb load stopper ( the u shaped bit as you called it )

see for wear and any mis shaped bits.

if continues will mean a new part and spring to solve it
