It's a good idea not to mix PDI and laylax parts.

Re: Shopping List Tokoyo Mauri VSR G-Spec - Picture Heavy Thread
I did ask this very question in a previous post, the reply I had was
Quote not an issue as long as you use the same manufacturer for the piston, cylinder head, spring guide
Just found the post
it shouldnt have problems mate,
the only parts that can be a pain in the ass to work together is the piston and sear mix
but seems as you have the PDI sears and PDI piston, pressuming both 90 degree angle ??
if so then wont be a problem mate aslong as you dont over do the spring power
Nope i have the exact same set up and mine works fine

Re: Shopping List Tokoyo Mauri VSR G-Spec - Picture Heavy Thread
yeah, you need to run with the same make SEAR SET and same make PISTON (as sear set)
other wise the two internals tolerances are different and will not work smoothly,
plus i said it will be fine if your using pdi sears and pdi piston,
but you have stated you will be using the LAYLAX piston, which wont work properly
use pdi sears with pdi piston
laylax sears with laylax piston
edgi sears with edgi piston
etc etc

Re: Shopping List Tokoyo Mauri VSR G-Spec - Picture Heavy Thread
the laylax spring should work if it is the same diameter as the PDI piston and spring guide when ordered
so you would need either the 7mm or 9mm spring guide, spring....
and the pdi pistons are searchable on google mate,
they changed the names and specs since last time i used my vsr
im more the L96 guy

PDI sears work with laylax pistons i know that for sure and TM stuff is compatable with laylax so i would presume so.
Cheers,

T Bird the instructions for the fitting of the 1st sear, 2nd sear, set pin are a bit vague, the cylinder set is simple enough, do you have a guide or any pictures that might help
have found this but would like more information
Now I seem to have a problem looking at this picture below, I have not purchased this torsion spring is this already inside the gearbox?

Re: Shopping List Tokoyo Mauri VSR G-Spec - Picture Heavy Thread
you need to take that spring off the original sear and put it on the new one. once you open it up its all fairly straight forward. just dont lose any of the springs
Taking hits since 2007

Re: Shopping List Tokoyo Mauri VSR G-Spec - Picture Heavy Thread
Can't help you with a guide, I have the V trigger with 90 degree sear, which means my trigger unit came pre assembled with upgraded sears so I've never taken a trigger unit apart.
I am fairly sure though, that there are you tube videos of the procedure, in fact, I know there are so do a search on there aand if you can't find anything shout me and I'll see if I can find it.
