Best Scope Magnification Setting
9 February, 2011, 17:02
Hi all,
Recently got my TM Gspec, just wondering what magnification setting you lot usually find as the best for general skirmishing on the scope?
Thanks!

Put them in an empty room, chuck a few dynatecs in there with them.
And then just spray them with a vulcan, that'll teach them how to behave..

Re: Best Scope Magnification Setting
4x is usually enough for most purposes, occasionally turn it up to 6x-7x for spotting/identification.

3-9x40 scopes are the standard I use for sniping.

I would have said x3 for shooting, x2 for looking at stuff.

Re: Best Scope Magnification Setting
Wicked, yeah it's pretty accurate. Have had it at about 5x for the time being, so I was around the same as most are suggesting.
I find if you go to 9x etc I think you can be fooled into thinking you can shoot that far!

Re: Best Scope Magnification Setting
Always x4 - well got to with my latest scope cause it only got x4, but had other scopes before and I start to lose targets at x5. Got a little Highlander x10 spotter monocular I use for verifying targets though, find it pretty handy at times.
