Rounded off screw
12 February, 2011, 00:33
Hi Guys,
The rear stock screw on my JG Bar 10 has rounded off slightly, making it impossible to undo ( I did it up very tight as the previous owner recommended it). Anyway, I can't undo it with a allen key as it just slips......
Any suggestions on how to get it out?
Also, does anyone know where I can get some QUALITY replacements?
Cheers and ATB

Re: Rounded off screw
You tried using a star shaped screwdriver of the same size. That's worked for me a few times.
That or plyers and persistence

Re: Rounded off screw
You could try using a hacksaw to cut a slot in the screw head and use a flathead screwdriver.
Or you can get a drill bit that removes rounded off screws.
Either way it will destroy the screw.

Ok, Thanks guys. I will try all of the above.
Where can I get a replacement? Possible a replacement for the front screw too....
