I have re-assmeble my l96 and it is not firing. I can cock it but it seems the actual trigger is not working. Any ideas?

Re: L96 re-assembly.
More information. I can cock it but not fire it. If i then pull the bolt back a bit it fires. However not every time. Also can someone take a picture of the trigger box on the gun. I am wondering which two screws go on it because i have a feeling mine are wrong.
Thanks

Re: L96 re-assembly.
the tm l96 unit is the same as the VSR series rifle in the style
so look for the tm g-spec guides on the trigger and will be the same layout,
sounds like you have mislaid the release spring on the trigger sear
also the two small screws that attatch the trigger to the rifle are small m3 screws

Thank you, ive been looking at the vsr but it doesnt really help... Do you know how long the release spring is? Also are the two screws the same size?

Re: L96 re-assembly.
It is not the spring that is missing. Any other ideas?

Re: L96 re-assembly.
right,
the two domed screws ( the domed or curved heads go into the the mounting holes )
the flat screw goes into the front of the trigger,

Re: L96 re-assembly.
yeah the screws are NOT the original ones , as they are different heads and types,
also the trigger mech looks fine,
you might have to check the piston sear spring is on correctly
