DE M56AL cartridge release...

Hi guys,
I have a DE M56AL shotty and,this is more of an annoyance, when you press the release switch- which will open the compartment where the cartridge goes, you have to tap it to get it to open and eject the shell...

Its obviously getting stuck somewhere as the release operates fine its just the compartment cover jamming.

Anyone have any ideas or know whats causing this?
As i said this is more annoying then anything else.

Update on this; it opens when you hold the shotgun upside down?!(so that you can see the shell chamber) but it still wont open, with out a tap, when the gun is the correct way round... is it ment to be like that or is there still an issues?

any help or ideas are always welcome.
