Look at it another way, 19% drop in velocity for a 100% increase in weight.
Doesn't sound so bad now does it?
Its only a 50% increase (.1g) so now the figures are starting to look less appealing again

Re: Left my sniper cocked overnight :S
My numbers are a very rough estimate, but both 350fps/0.3g and 429fps/0.2g come out at 1.7J so it has to be a "normal" drop in velocity. It can't be abnormal if you work it out mathematically
Besides don't get caught up in chasing higher velocity. Heavier BB's conserve their energy better
I would use an 400fps rifle with 0.28g bb's any day over a 500fps one with 0.2g's
bought
[bawt]
verb
Simple past tense and past participle of buy.
brought
[brawt]
verb
Simple past tense and past participle of bring.

Yes, you're quite right [huge facepalm!
], but a difference of 31% between weight change and velocity is still pretty good in my book.

yeah the figures aer CORRECt,
for every .05 gram increase in ammo weight, you will lose 30-40 fps
so .20 shooting 440 will be around 350-370 on a .3

AH I see, so my FPS is roughly right then, assuming the advertised FPS of 450-ish was on the basis of .20g readings. Won't ever know that unfortunately.
I'm assuming if you wanted to go heavier than .30g you might want to consider upgrades as (using my situation as an example) I'm getting 350FPS out of .30g right now, I'd only get around 270-290FPS out of .40g.
Still, the added accuracy and BB stability would be more valuable than loss of power, no?

If you want to be on the safe side, you could buy a Laylax 150% spring
