Ways to increase performance of a bolt acction gun?

I just want ask is there any way to increase accuracy and FPS, I have a stock warrior L96, and it's very inaccurate, and about 410FPS, can I increase these figures without spending?

Correctly adjusting the hop will help, but further than that - no, not without spending.

Try to keep the inner barrel steady, you can do this by either buying some rings for it, or making some yourself. Mine are home made and work great.

Homemade barrel spacers made a massive improvement to my old WELL L96, pretty much wrapped electrical tape around the inner barrel to the diameter of the outer barrel, about 8 times along the inner barrel.

Costs around £2 for the tape, and that's it.

Well I've got a hundred quid in my paypal, but it's locked because I didn't add a bank, when it's reopened I'll buy a tight bore barrel, and PDI hop unit.

Thats exactly what I did, works just as well but you don't have to pay for them (bar the tape).

Prometheus tight bore and a PDI hop unit and firefly hard bucking, and you should be fine

PDI units can be like finding hens teeth, stick with the basics like barrel spacers for now. I have spend 2 years upgrading my L96 £750 later it is still not finished (I have just found a PDI unit). Take your time, I would recommended the barrel spacers though. Can help a bit. Also maintaining your Rifle is very important, lube and clean your barrel often making sure no crap is in it. Adjusting the hop and zeroing the scope correctly can make a big difference!
