Getting into VSR cylinder
1 June, 2011, 15:04
Hi guys,
I'm having real trouble getting into the cylinder of my VSR. That blasted stainless steel pin won't give.
I don't have a dremel or any fancy tools to get into it, just a drill and some will power.
I've tried scratching at it and trying to dent it so I can start drilling but have only ended up scratching the cylinder itself.
Any ideas guys/gals?
Cheers for your time,

Re: Getting into VSR cylinder
Centre punch the middle of the small pin mate
Will be best to lock it in a vice and drill straight down
But the depth is only the first 3mm of the drill bit, mark it on the drill piece with masking tape so you know when to stop

Re: Getting into VSR cylinder
Finally got into the fecker.
Ended up getting a tiny flat head screw driver and using that to dig a channel into the metal enough to get a hold with the drill.
Cylinder has a small dent next to the cylinder head, but I can't see it effecting performance... Fingers crossed...
Thanks for your help mate
