  • weird spring noise

I have an m99 snow wolf & when it fires the spring makes a horrible clanging noise.
I have so far added an sp30 spring, stainless steel spring guide, laylax cylinder head with a damper, laylax piston head & the piston is standard.

What can i do to stop this sound???
One thought was to thread a sleave or something around the spring coils but not sure what would happen.

    What do you think?

        Re: weird spring noise

Yeah that's what it sounds like, but the spring is the length it came as.
It's not exactly a sniper rifle when it fires & makes a twanging noise!

yeah i did use a sp130 spring for an aps-2. is it a different length or something? I thought aps-2 parts were conpatible?

            Re: weird spring noise

I had a twang noise from my L96 spring when I got a new spring.
Guard advised I put some greese on so I did and now no twang. You want some sort of White grease or something.

mine twangs (aeg) its just a loose fit and the room allows the spring to hit the cylinder and innards upon firing making a beautiful twanging noise =/ get a different spring i think that would solve the problem

                Re: weird spring noise

the twang is the room and sideways movement under pressure upon release from the sears

aps-2 system works in the barret, BUT you need to make sure the new internal spring guide and spring have the same DIA as the stock one

use white lithium grease on the METAL working parts in the cylinder so it beds in and keeps well lubed
