bolt wont cock back

just cocked my l96 and i cocked it back but cant push the bolt handle down and a small golden peice came out
anyone know whats wrong
After cheap project guns and various bits of kit

Give the thread a couple days and someone will respond. I don't know what it could be but it doesn't sound too good.
Have a look at an exploded diagram of your rifle and see if you can find the piece that came out.

pic of said golden piece will help us identify the problem maybe.
it does sound like the brass nub which helps keep the lever in a given position.

that golden pin needs to be found and put back in and you may have lost the spring that keeps it in place.

yh one spring i cant find so when i cock it now the bolt handle can rotate unfortunately

Sounds like that could be the trigger stop spring that has flown out. This didnt happen to my VSR but i upgraded every spring in my VSR with stronger ones , so you should be able to find a replacement for it easy, just keep hold off the metal piece.
