Tokyo Marui VSR Gspec- complete upgrade
18 February, 2009, 11:14
Looking to get this gun as i really enjoy sniping. (already have aegs and have tried sniping before). On the Z1 shop it says that the rifle will not be fitted with a high power spring, but if i bought a high powered spring, would the internals be able to handle it? Thanks

it would be able to take it easy if your talking about the fully upgraded one, they don't sell them with a high powered spring in them i think because of laws or something like that

Re: Tokyo Marui VSR Gspec- complete upgrade
The stock rifle will take up to a 110sp (340fps+). Above that, and I'd definitely upgrade.

Does anyone know what brand upgrades Z1 use's on these packages? also joey you may want to consider a tightbore barrel and some barrel spacers

They do actually use Laylax, but I believe they stick with TM hop-up buckings.
+1 to the upgrade barrel, barrel spacers and bucking (if you're not getting the fully upgraded VSR).
I think that they haven't been doing the upgraded packages for awhile now, due to not having all of the parts in at the same time - always worth a try though. Give them a call before hand.

if i wasn't planning to get the fully upgraded one, just the stock one, what would i need to put it to 400fps+ without damaging the internals?

You will need to put in a high powered spring, probably a ps10 120 spring in it, but I would reccomend upgrading at least the piston and trigger sears on it.

Have a look at my upgrade thread:

Ask any further questions on there.
Hope that helps,
Alex

Thanks,
This is good to know as I'm planning to upgrade the spring, after a bit more research has gone into which one i'll be going for. Which i'm sure there's more then enough info on this forum, so i better get looking!
