Since there seems to be a few many guitarists on this forum i think a thread may be a nice addition

So like What gear you got, Who/what are your influences for your playing style.. In a band? etc

Well personally I own a BC Rich Warlock Bass, A crappy Westfield Explorer and a Admira Spanish acoustic guitar.

My amps consist of a Peavey valve amp 15w and a Harley Benton HB-40B.

I am currently in a band and influences for us and me are Iron Maiden, Black Sabbath, Judas Priest, Motorhead, Metallica

The picks i prefer to use are the 3mm stubby Jim Dunlop jazz picks.

fender 61 strat slab board fitted with 13 - 56 strings ...vox ac top boost with blue speakers, meazzi valve echo unit....then your talking !

Scotty, what type of warlock have you got?

I've tried to find a photo of the one I used to have, but it was 20 odd years ago. The closest I've found is the one far left in this shot, but mine was fire red.

My setup:

Guitar: UV777BK (for sale on jemsite)
Poweramp: Mesa/Boogie 50/50
Pre-Amp: Marshall JMP-1
Speakers: Marshall 4x12 cab

Used to play in a garage band, playing stuff like Floyd. Moved to playing some speed metal.

Finally ended up going around pubs playing blues covers and some electronica (on different nights lol) with a couple of mates. Pretty much stopped now since I'm concerntrating on uni (and airsoft).

Nice. As good as mine was to play (even before I fitted active pickups and a baddass bridge), I always preferred the look of the modern ones.

My setup:

Guitars: Steinberger GM4TA & Steinberger GM2TA (10-46's)

Amplifier: Mesa/Boogie DC5 (bought from new 15 years ago - never looked at another Amp since)

Health: Permanent Tinnitus and 30% hearing loss at 1K (see above for explanation)

FX: Morley Little Alligator, Morley Bad Horsie - The Amp and fingers privide the rest

Played in pubs and clubs for 30 years with current classic rock covers lineup spanning 13 years. Specialise in AC/DC, Thin Lizzy, ZZ Top, although learned to play with the book "Led Zeppelin Complete"

yeah i dabble in the old guitar every now and then although my setup is not as awesome as you guys:

Rockinrobin.... seriously killer BCR basses mate. You're not on the BCR Players forum, are you?

I use BCR NJ (Old import) Mockingbird, though Marshall Jackhammer & EH Holy Grail Reverb into Peavey Valveking 112 Combo. My Mock is in my Avatar!

Simple, effective and has been gigged many a time. Saying that, getting sick of the amp a bit haha. Would love a JCM DSL 2000 full stack.... one day....just maybe

EDIT: If anyone plays though a Sunn Model-T and it goes missing..... it wasn't me, ok? haha

Pedal board: Boss MT-2, Original crybaby, Digitech whammy, crappy tuner.
Strings: Exl-120's
Picks: Dunlop jazz III's
Style: Metal, instrumental stuff like vai satch etc..

Not sure to be honest,
It doesn't have an arched top so i think that makes it a DXMG.
only got it yesterday, i got abit excited with the floyd and pulled the trem post out lol.
