      Re: Best war music

Best music I have to get me in agressive assault mode is "Clubbed to death" by Rob Duggan. Used it countless time in Bosnia, and Iraq, and have it as my power song when I hit the wall when running..

Here it is if you haven't heard it. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=1Lp-HN6j9GE
It seems like such a terrible shame that innocent civilians have to get hurt in wars, otherwise combat would be such a wonderfully healthy way to rid the human race of unneeded trash.

How come no one has mentioned the best one!

        Megadeth - Take no prisoners

I believe it has some sort of record for being played during some kind of conflict....although I could be doing a "Dean" and making that up....

Despite my love of Slipknot, Killswitch Engage, Disturbed, Sabaton, Machine Head and all those kinds of bands i dont like mega death... I dont know why, i guess i need to listen to them more.

Take no prisoners will be playing loudly very shortly.

Maybe because none of those bands are remotely like Megadeth (saying that I like all those bands too). I have been a Megadeth fan all my life and I will say this mate, get on it! You should listen to Rust in piece, it's the best album ever released....that isn't bias...honest

              Back on Topic

ANYTHING by Slayer is also a good way to go....actually most bands from late 80's to early 90's thrash is adequate....that also isn't bias....OOOooo and Pantera :D

Maybe even disposable teens by Manson....

I wish I was born in the early 70's to really have been able to experience the music I love at it's best

True, they aren't the same but are similar... but they are in the same ball park.

                I love slayer.
They remind very much like Amon Amarth, they sing about vikings.....

Check out Cry of the black birds:
                http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=sSJWOV44Otc

This is also good for battles and such:

So much good battle music out there, I guess its all about what you want in your battles... im trying to write a book at the moment and I always listen to lyric less music like the 'two steps from hell' songs in my first post... but if you want battle music to pump you up, all the other songs people have suggested are great to.

                Aren't opinions great.

Don't know if many of you kids will see it as a war "Song", but it used to sombre the mood prior to a patrol for us boys back in the day.

Usually found being very unimpressed by a lot of players, but gets a pleasant surprise when they actually have a clue on a game day.
