  • Real Steel Glock Custom Parts

Hi there looking to get some grips and a custom slide cover from the America for my KWA glock 17.

However has anyone had any experiences with fitting real steel parts to KWA/TM Glocks and does anyone know if a real steel slide cover would fit a KWA or would it need modification?

Also looking at getting some real steel night sights so if anyone has had experiences with them let me know

    Cheers

The grips will fit - they are just glorified adhesive backed sandpaper!

    Now onto the interesting ones!

The slide cover *should* fit as such, but it will not be retained. Where the slide covers on KSC/KWA glocks have two lugs that press into the back of the BBU, all the tricky bits of the RS slide assembly are held in place by the slide cover. This is locked in place by the firing pin sleeve pushing back into a hole in the cover plate. I've often wondered about getting a custom cover plate made, but they arent that cheap and im not sure it would be worth it (in case it didnt fit). Here's a video showing the process:

Long/short of it is this: You'll have to find some way of securing it to the BBU - my personal favourite would be getting some metal lugs made that could slot into the BBU and drilling some additional holes in the back of the cover plate to locate on these lugs. Or you could just shim/glue it :P

As for RS sights, read on here:

Very helpful think I will give the slide cover a miss not the best at modifying parts. Will be getting the grips and night sights, pictures of the sights look awesome on your thread.

They really are cracking bits of kit, so easy/quick to aim, and nice and distinctive
