  • How do you use this Old School M16 sight?

    just bought this site, which is the correct way? picture a or b and how does it work? anybody have an example of this?

    Think it's B (at least thats how I use mine , and it seems to work so I hope it's right ) lol

      It has the slanted line on it, showing you which way to put it... so B

      It works by letting light into the hole on top to illuminate the round crosshairs. I believe they have tritium in them, but sine they're from the late 60's or so the one on mine has run out. I get a faint circle when looking through mine.

      Edit: I just tried mine again, and if I hold it so the hole on top is getting loads of sunlight I get a nice - o - sight picture, but only if I hold my face right up to the sight.
