Re: help please
£230 isn't a bad budget, for that there are a plethora of AEG's available..the question is what do you want? What do you like the look of?
I'm sure there's a reccomended make thread somewhere, someone will post it perhaps.
It is a bit of a mire when you start.

Re: help please
If u have a defence against the vcra (ukara registered is the most common) I'd consider a tm mp5 or famas etc. u can go for a higher end gun than g&g on your budget, so why settle for the *preares to be flamed* inferior quality of a Chinese replica?
Shop around various sites, and visit a store or two if u can so u can handle things before u purchase.

Re: help please
Firstly what type of weapon do you prefer (to be honest this will be mostly based off looks)?
Rifles or SMGs?
Then narrow it down to an AEG you like the look of and see which models are in your budget. Obviously you don't have to spend all your money on the AEG, leaving funds for accessories such as mags/optics/slings/teapots.
For example if you were to choose the G&G M4 (which I'm not saying to do, I do have a CM16 Raider which is nice but I'm inexperienced with other kit) you could have a fair bit of dollah left to modify it to what you want.

You will get a lot of differing opinions on "bestest shooter" on here.
All the opinions will be based on personal experience so none will be wrong.
I'd reccomend KWA but TBH not as a starter mainly because the mags are a pain,when/if they fit, most other AEG's are a lot more accomodating.
I started with TM and there's not many that will knock them, build quality, performance(even @ std low fps) and upgrade ability.
But a tad above your budget.

Another point, look for some bargains on the classified section of this forum, might be able to pick up a gem.

Probably the first place to look once you've decided what you want.
Even though new guns may have a warranty of sorts it's not straightforward to claim on them.
Do you live local to a trader,it's always a good option if you're buying new incase you have to return it.

G&G aren't from China, and they aren't poor quality. They're from Taiwan and are considered pretty high end.
TM's Famas is older than time, and easily outclassed by other makers and models.
I'd buy a G&P M4, but expect to need a downgrade before use, as most of them clock 380-390 fps on a .20g these days.

to me TM guns are the awful feeling plastic models, i know they are great quality but all of mine have felt cheap. when i was buying my g36 it was a toss up between CA and TM i went to *********** and held both guns and the CA just felt better.
i do own a G&G M4 and yes it plastic, but it feels great, rigid and strong. i think g&g get bad press for being cheap, and you hear lots of horror stories as its the new users panicing at breaking their new toy "HELLLLLPPPP TRIGGER STUCK!?!?!?!????" type of thing, but experienced airsofters can diognose the problem without issue, so that aids to bad press.

Id settle for a G&P rifle with your budget, but first if it was me id browse the classifieds. May not be so wise if you dont know what your looking at though.

As you're asking for two tones, are you under 18? In which case, the Classifieds aren't for you.
