  • Flye Mbss

Hi again. Has anyone used a MBSS plate carrier varient, as im debating the replacement of my bulle mle which was converted to an rrv, for the reason that there are less straps to deal with, and ill be able to vent better out the sides. Any experiences would be welcome

go for the plate carrier with a cumberbund, you get more molle to attach kit, your pretty limited with a MBSS

    ask Fizzy...he'll tell you

What the man said! You may find the MBSS a bit short on MOLLE real estate. Haven't actually used it yet, but I'm considering getting a Warrior 901 instead as with running mids I need to carry a fair few mags

Im really not into the idea of cumerbunds- i already know that all my kit will fit on the mbss, and id rather not have heat trapped on my sides like i do with my current rig. I was mainly wondering about stability/ comfort.

Well, depends on your body shape but for me it seems ok. I use replica SAPI plates to keep it solid but don't think it needs them

                Re: Flye Mbss

I use a pantac mbss, with a bozzer battle belt to make up for the lack of molle real estate.

8mags, 4x40mm nades, pistol, pyro, radio, hydration, dump pouch, 3x utility pouches and 1 micro utility pouch.

Major criticism I had with the mbss, was the shoulders were uncomfortable with any weight, this is because it should be worn over an paca. I added the hsgi shoulder straps which are a dream and the best $20 I spent.
                Selling:
ISAF Tan patches, Union Jack Desert Patches Red Dot Sight, SR25 and M4 HiCaps.

Yeh gotta agree with the shoulder straps the only downfall really but as mentioned, easily sorted.
