To get a "valid defense" eg UKARA or site membership you need to play three games in over three months.

So playing for one game won't get you a valid defense.

The law doesn't say anything about playing a set number of games over a set period. I'm pretty sure it doesn't even mention anything about being a regular skirmisher. The 3 games in no less than 2 months is just something put forward by UKARA as how they will determine that someone is a genuine member of a skirmishing site.

Then again, reading the VCRA section 37, Specific defences I don't see where airsofters are covered at all?

yes, it will, because UKARA isn't a legal requirement, and neither is the 3 games, or site membership. Whilst it will make it harder for you to get a R.I.F, as most companies go by UKARA recommendations, 1/2 skirmishes is no less a defense than 3 skirmishes in legal terms.

Unless the site has a different rule on their site membership, which is perfectly legal. Or if the seller just believes the purchaser to be a regular skirmisher. Again, nothing wrong with that.

As far as I can remember (and I'm on my way now to have a quick look) the law doesn't mention 3 games in over 3 months. That is a recommendation by an association - no where near a legal requirement.

best thing to do is buy a 2 tone G&G or classic army, when you get your UKARA, take the two-tone parts off and replace them with RIF colours, personally i sanded the parts down because they were metal and sprayed them thats what i did

Before I got my UKARA whats it called me bob. I imported and used a skirmishers diary to prove my defence as a skirmisher.

The Boarder Agency person checked my dates and PLI status of the sites I attended. Rightly or wrongly the 3 games over no less than 2 months was specified over the phone as a criteria. UKARA was also specifically asked for on initial contact. I got my UKARA in the end simply because, like Paypal I dislike it but it is useful and my nose likes to stay on my face.
