17 April, 2012, 16:22
I might be getting some MAG metal mid-caps for my M4.
Are they good quality?

Re: MAG magazines
Use MAG magazines in virtually all my AEG's they are just so reliable and feed perfectly and once they have gone through bit of bedding in (the spring) they just keep going

Sounds like your springs may have been left compressed for a prolong period of time, most MAG magazines have a spring release cover, take that off and just pull the sping out carefully, if you find it is compressed to much just buy a new spring/mag.
OP I have been using MAG magazines for over 3 years now without ANY problems so I highly recommend you get them

Re: MAG magazines
I always get all the bbs out of them as soon as I'm home. But will stretch the springs.

I wouldn't recommend you "stretch" the springs but just check them to see if they are over compressed and if they are contact zero one for replacement springs

Re: MAG magazines
Well I use Classic Army M16 mags at the mo, but I sold all my old ones to buy some new ones.
Then I came across the metal MAG ones and remember hearing good things here and there.
How many rounds on average do you have to run through the mag before it beds in?

Re: MAG magazines
I'm not a fan of plastic mags, I much prefer metal ones.
And I use .25 as standard.
