  • Just a few questions on the G&G umg :)

Hi guys I am purchasing a G&G umg (ump) next week and I have been looking around. My first question is what is the rate of fire using an 8.4 because some reviews (on YouTube) say the rof is around 1000 rpm. But zero one only says 450 rpm or something near that.
My second question is: is the gun really inaccurate because of the short barrel??
And finally how good is the exterior of the gun is

I would be very grateful for any personal experience with the gun.
    Cheers JCSsharpshooter

Can't say on RoF but if you find it's an issue, just use a 7.4v lipo instead of an 8.4v Ni-Mh

Barrel length really doesn't affect accuracy. It's not real steal and barrels aren't rifled.

As for the exterior, they're pretty solid for a mostly polymer gun. I really liked mine, felt rather solid. 2 of my team mates have had theirs for around 5-6 years and both of them have stood up well to getting knocked around

I own one of these and run an 11.1 lipo with a burst wizard plug an play MOSFET rate of fire is v good and trigger response is v good as for accuracy you will be v surprised how good they are with good range as well only downside is the mid caps double feed in the last 20 or do bbs with this gun , silencer actually works as well !! V v good gun

Trades are either s*** or non-existent (can't remember) but to handle, they're lovely - well balanced, VERY solid. That's not 'very solid - for a plastic gun' that's very solid, full stop. Even the stock is wobble-free.

I'm a fan of SMG sized weapons and the UMG is my favourite primary when I need high ammo capacity. Only drawback is you need the optional Magpul entrenching tool if you want to get prone with it ;->

Other things to watch out for are that the battery space is tight with a FET, fuse and Deans fitted. It's hard to find stock-length tightbores (I designed my own outer barrel extension on Shapeways to fit a Madbull 247), and the hopup can be over sensitive.

Don't get me wrong, I like the UMH silencer. However, when you can find them, you don't get much change from £50 it makes the gun a good bit longer. Mine costs about £6, adds a total of about 2.5cm and you can still use the silencer with it if you want.
