MP5K.. Marui or CA?

I've used the TM before in a skirmish (entire day) It was brilliant, small felt good enough and fired OK. Range wasnt all that.. but what ya guna do? It doesnt boast massive FPS or performance.. (it was fine, tho)


I'm looking into getting one now, however I've been looking around and seen that CA do one, it's metal (TM isnt) and boasts better performance (Not sure I trust american kids on youtube tho)

Has anybody used both? or can offer an opinion on the CA version?

I havent used the Ca version but if its anything like their SAR (G3) Range, it will be ace! :D

I've wanted one of these CA Mp5ks but I have always gone for something else. When the KSC Mp9 came out that went on the top of my shopping list :P

I have bought a TM MP5k of a guy from here. It is brand new and never been used in ange, ( he bought and displayed it ). I am taking it to Xsite tonight and going to use it in the killhouse. I will post again tomorrow and let you know my findings.

The TM is about a ton cheaper.
vs the CA having a metal body, hi cap and slightly higher fps (circa 300 310 fsp for the ca) from the off.
If thats worth a hundred quid to you then good.

If you just want something as a back up or such then the TM one will work out cheaper (even if you buy a hi cap and a stick battery it'll still be some £50 cheaper then the CA)
Ive owned a both TM and CA MP5's and both will do you fine it's all down to how much you want to spend really.

£130 for the CYMA, fires 340+ FPS and has part metal body. Possibly the best compramise between the 2?

As far as range + accuracy goes.. How much does the CA have over the TM, Fossil?

Accuracy wise the TM has a slight edge over the CA.

Wange wise the CA willget another 30 odd feet over the TM one (same bb's and hop set up correctly) that is with both at stock (my TM one was doing 280 and d the CA 305) with the TM upgraded to roughly the same power (just a plain spring upgrade) range was the same.

Thanks, as long as the K uses the same gearbox as the stnadard its all good

The TM MP5k I your best vet and just upgrade the spring to get it at the same as the CA if your not botherd about it being metal.

Yeah when I used it before the plastic wasnt a limitation at all..

It was very light and cos its so small was very solid!

Nope the K has a version 3 gearbox the rest of the MP5 ranges have version 2 gearboxes. Though upgrading and tuning is easy on both GB's.

i have a TM... range is just like any other AEG even on the lower FPS scale..

One note though.. with my top mount.. battery and red dot the TM weighs an absolute ton. .and a metal one would be stupidly heavy ( probably around the weight of a smaller rifle AEG ) so its your choice!
