I recommend ( as does half of Zero 1 ) the JG g36c, you cannot go wrong with them seriously. The Sniper is a waste of money also, If your determined on going for sniping i suggest the bar 10

JG G36c in two tone. Scope rings are what attatch the scope onto the gun.

Please search, this comes up about twice a week.
My advice is go play, rent a few times and have a look at what other players are using. They'll probably also let you have a go on the range so you can get a feel of it. Then, if you've narrowed it down to a few choices, come back and ask

I'd go for the m14 or probably a jg g36, I wouldn't jump straight in with a sniper rifle as airsoft sniping isn't easy and if you don't get any or many kills people can get frustrated very quick

The m14 can be used as a dmr so you can still 'snipe' but have a normal aeg so you can flip to auto if needs must

Dean!! you were going to get the JG G36, just cause Josh is getting it doesn't mean you don't have to, its a great starter gun. :P anyway im getting JG m4 so you can try that out and see if you want it.

                Re: which gun for beginner?

yeah, don't go sniper as a new guy, airsoft ain't modern warfare 2, you can't be uber leet in 5 minutes.

i think there are several important facters in choosing your first weapon.

first - an aeg with atleast 2 hi-cap mags and semi and full auto.

second - a weapon with a folding, or adjustible stock, for both cqb and woodland.

third - as with a new aeg, get a good battery, if your going clone, you'll need a good battery as most clone batts suck.

fourth - go to google, type in the make, and name of the aeg you want, plus the word "review" and search.

fifth - get something you like, if possible.

as the other guys have said here, jg g36 is a good start. others i would recommend...

                classic army m15a4 sports line.
classic army ak47u sports line, or cyma .02 version.
ics mp5 a5 with extendible stock budget version, jg version is very good also.

once you've found an aeg you like and are used to, then my advice would be a nice side arm, then move into more specialised weapons like sniper rifles, shotguns, support weapons etc.

good boots, camo, webbing eye protection and additional mags are a must if your going to take this sport up seriously.

M14 with the scope, you can then try your hand at sniper/desig marksman and assualt, the 14s have silly range too.

                      Re: which gun for beginner?

Ok Here come's a Cat to wonder amongst you Pigeons.

By all means get a Bolt Action Spring Rifle as your first gun, My first gun was a TM VSR10 fitted with a 6.03 Barrel and an M100 Spring and was wearing a Tasco 3X9X40 Scope and a red laser.

Absolutely Top first gun! and here's why.

                      1* No battery's.
                      2* No Gas.
3* Only had to carry a speed loader.
                      4* BB's last forever.
5* Almost always hit what I aimed at.
6* Learned a lot about the game.

I did not try and play as a sniper nor have i ever played COD 7. Just because you have a single shot gun does not mean you cant play up front.

What you now have is a new player with an accurate useful weapon who because he is not running around like a loon spraying ammo at everything he see's learns how the game is played and can contribute something useful. Believe me even on my first game with the VSR I had people running for cover and bugging out just because they see a sniper pointed at them, and they assumed (wrongly) I new what I was doing.

Personally I think all new players should start with this type of gun, it would certainly stop a newbee lighting you up with half a Hi-Cap before lunch.

If you want a bolt action as you first gun mate you bleeding well go for it.

But don't buy that one. :D
