How to charge T connector battary?
2 December, 2009, 22:36
Hi
I purchased a GP battary with T connector,I wonder how to charge this as my airsoft battary charger is only for V connector. I dont think there is available adapter.
Check out the picture
I will shoot you all.

Re: How to charge T connector battary?
The T connectors are called Deans connectors, and the Vs are called Tamiya connectors.
You can get most shops to wire you up a connecter section for a small fee. Just phone them up and describe which connectors (specifying male or female) you would like on either end.

Oh actually I found some tamiya connector for sale,I may just buy it and replace them
ALso the battary is lipo 11.1v, does this affect the performance?
I will shoot you all.

Aha...yes.
Lipo batteries will increase ROF, BUT are difficult to maintain. You need a sepcific charger, as well as knowledge of how to operate, charge and gerenally use them. If you just go ahead and treat them like normal batteries, they die. Spectacularly (fire).

Plus....
Deans are a better connector than Tamiya. So don't trade in your new HD TV for a black & white one
Get some Deans connectors fitted to the gun too :D

Re: How to charge T connector battary?
not only will your battery die but if you use tamiya connectors with Li po's you will get a situation called arcing Tamiya connectors are prone to it. You DO NOT wanta Li Po to arc. The results will be spectacular trust me. I use Li Po's on all my stuff RC Models AND my guns and I use deans connectors for them all. The connections are more secure and definitely improve current flow. All you need to do is take a Tamiya cable an cut off the end that plugs into your battery leaving the charger end intact and solder a female Deans to the end you have just cut. You now have a charging lead for your Li po. But make sure your charger is capable of balance charging Li Pos or again you will get fireworks
Also be aware that an 11.1V Li Po will give an insane rate of fire to your gun and if it doesn't have good quality uprated internals you will strip your gearing in no time.

Re: How to charge T connector battary?
Hi
I bough a G&p TROY and when I read the description,it says I can use 11.1v lipo battary so I bough it with the gun. ALso I do have lipo balance charger for the battary as I used to play radio control helicopter
Well dont worry about the lipo battary,I known how to handle it.
Also I will change the tamiya connector to dean connector to get better performance
However when I read some post on internet, there are serveral people say that they got problem with their gun when use 11.1v lipo...well maybe I have to do upgrade before I can use this battary...
I may just buy 9.6v battary to use with the gun as I dont want my gun have insance rate of fire..I may put the battary on sale here soon
I will shoot you all.

11.1v is going to play havoc with your trigger contacts. You'd be better getting a MOSFET fitted (just like I said before)
