Question: Ares G36 spring tension release.
8 June, 2012, 15:55
I have an Ares G36, and I know the bolt catch on the top is supposed to act as a spring tension release if you pull it back and release it after you have finished using the weapon. My question is, does this tension release function still work if you have disabled the blowback on the gun? Also, I saw on one youtube vid the guy mentions that the bolt lock switch by the trigger also acts as a spring tension release, but I am unsure if this does work or not.
Any experts on Ares G36's know the facts?

Re: Question: Ares G36 spring tension release.
The bolt isnt the spring release.
The little button next to the trigger is the tension release. Fire a few on auto then press the button in. You should hear it work.
