  • After a compact, metal M4 CQB

    Morning everyone

Very new to this and I've been trying to research the brands, models, internals, reliability etc but there is so much to take in!

I'm after a compact style M4 CQB that's mostly metal...I had been looking at an OA-15 M7 (Oberland Arms) which had some kind of recoil/blowback. Loved this and would like this on an M4. Would also like something that is highly customizable...

Does anybody have any recommendations on brand and model?

    Thanks

    Really depends on your budget.

From what i have learnt the G&G combat machines are good starter guns, but are all plastic.

G&P do a good range of M4s. all types you can think of and are metal.

Mine is a G&P MRP CQB and is a great bit of kit. Would def recommend looking into the G&P range.

For top end it would likely be the TM SOPMOD. Has blow back but maybe plastic.

for an ultimate compact M4 have a look at a VFC PDW or its clone

Have you looked at ICS? I would recommend them for reliability, quality, finish etc. They also have a split gearbox which is a bonus in my opinion.

Don't think iv seen one with a blowback function though. Only thing I would say is it can sometimes be tricky customising the externals.

I havn't heard of the brand you mentioned, but I'm not exactly an airsoft veteran.

I'm sure someone will be along shortly with some more recommendations.

        DS.

Again really comes down to how much cash your willing to splash....DBOYS KAC is pretty compact and full-metal

            Appreciate the feedback guys, thanks.

The budget is £300 for a start up gun excluding accessories - I'll have a look at the ones you've all listed above.

            Thanks again!

              Classic Army Seals Compact CQB

It is a rip roaring beast out of the box and compatible and upgradeable with most of what is on the market.

Probably my favoutie AEGs of all time.

Is that the brand 'Classic Army Seals'?

That sounds like an ideal starting weapon - is that it in the picture at the bottom?

the brand is classic army. the model is seals compact CQB.

£300 is a good budget for a first gun IMO.

If its purely for CQB then i'd go with: http://www.zerooneairsoft.com/produc...oducts_id=5762

If you want something you could use as an all rounder then: http://www.zerooneairsoft.com/produc...oducts_id=5763

both slightly over budget but great guns. I have used a tank and the ROF was epic!

                      Here's a few options
                      1) G&G GR16 CQB R
                      2) G&P Tank
                      3) KWA M4 PDW (******* *****)

All great guns, just comes down to user preference

^^^^^The G&P CQB MOE would be my first choice too! great internals, and those magpul externals really look sweeeeet. (And would probably cost you the price of the gun if you were buying all those magpul bits and pieces seperately)^^^^^

choice is the hardest thing about buying a new gun.

i second the Classic Army CQB Seal Compact.. i own one and it is my second one! as i love them so much, absolute beast out of the box, chuck a tightbore barrel and decent hop rubber in it and its even better, full metal abit on the heavy side sometimes but its solid! highly recommend one and if you keep your eye out they pop up for sale now and again at a bargain price
