As a famas fan myself I'm under the impression that anything other than the tm's are crap.

That is just the impression that I'm under though

I'm sure that, if you're patient, a (far superior quality) Tokyo Marui FAMAS will come up in the classifieds on this forum, at a very reasonable price.

As said, they're crap. Often advertised as full metal - they are not.

another vote for the tm version - famas is very much a marmite (love it or hate it) gun untill someone shoulders it and then they realise how comfortable they are but id deffo hold out for a tm one

Might as well get ourselfs a full metal G36 whilst we're at it :P

On a more serious note - I wouldnt bother with the jp famas unless you want to invest some serious money (more than you would pay for the gun) on getting it to a decent skirmishable state
