Re: CA Sportline RIS
Thanks for that Ratty, i was half expecting to get a lot of "my mate had", "i heard" or other usual forum stuff, would you say its worth getting one then, as looking at them externally it only really needs a new body and it'd be bang on. Also dont kow if you seen it but AI magazine are doing a feature about upgrading a Sportline. I was just thinking would it be better to by a slightly "lesser" rifle and upgrade it myself or hope a more expensive one is automatically better.

Re: CA Sportline RIS
the whole reason i went with the sportline was just that, as a basis for upgrade.
The C8 diemarco i'm doing needed the stock the sportline has on it (£40+ for just the stock from CA), so as i needed a gearbox and motor, as well as the rest if it i decieded the sportline was a winner.
Adding an aftermarket custum barrel, C8 trademarked body, RIS, ACOG and a buttpad, and its done.
Have used it as standard, and the range/rof is good, grouping is not brilliant, but a better barrel will sort that.
it will have a mosfet fitted eventually, as i'm going to be using Lipo's in it, and the mofet does extend the like of your insides.
If you import you can get a full metal body for £30 shipped.
