Reccomend Me Some 40mm Grenades
5 October, 2012, 16:18
Very temped at getting an AG36 for my G36.
Confused about shells as there are so many... so so many.
Although it will take any length shell i'd prefer short shells so i can fit them into webbing pouches etc.
Not a stupid amount of bb capacity, but enough to get a good spread / cloud.
A good quality one, with good range and accuracy.
6mm Green Gas / Propane powered ones please.
Looking for 2 or 3 idealy.
Budget... £120 give or take.
Suggestions?

Re: Reccomend Me Some 40mm Grenades
If you're willing to splash the cash, I've heard good things about the Madbull 108rnd 'nades. I currently have a pair of Classic Army 18rnd 'nades which pack a massive punch, spread is alright too.
Just remember, the higher the round count, the less power and range you'll get. You want less than 100rnds, ideally I'd say 60ish tops.

Re: Reccomend Me Some 40mm Grenades
the madbull nades i have are all nice, but i find all my nades a pita to load, then one 'tube' wont hold the bbs in so when u tip the launcher down, bbs roll out.... i find the ones that you have the one big hole, that u then stick the plastic cap over seem to be best as you can choose the amount of bbs, easy to load and never dribble bbs
plus you can put a cyalume in them

S-Thunder
Easy to load, come Co2 ready, easy to maintain and are really well built.
Cost about £35-40 each so well within your budget. Replacement caps can be sourced from china for peanuts or if you prefer you can use tape
I had just under 30 different 40mm shells at one point but I got rid of all but 4 of these

Avoid plastic shells like the plague - not worth the volume of space they occupy

Really im after something to run from green gas / propane.
Could be persuaded into running CO2 but its what... £80 for the CO2 regulator?

S-thunder (you can get the normal ones), ICS metal, Madbull (Pretty much any of their range) and there are a few others like king arms but they can be a bit of pain at times.
This Post may contain my opinions and if you disagree with them Tough S**T!

ICS metal ones - you cannot find replacement valves ANYWHERE - so avoid like the plague :P

Madbull rubber baton rounds, too much fun to describe when used with a GLM launcher
