Cyma cm028 wont fire
4 January, 2010, 12:58
Hi everyone my cyma cm028 ak47 doesnt seem to fire out bbs. It will make the sound of it firing and air comes out when I pull the trigger but no bbs. I have only put around 1000 rounds through it and only received it about 2 weeks ago. It also makes a weired motor like sound when I put the magazine in, but it does seem to feed the bbs, just not fire them.

Re: Cyma cm028 wont fire
If there is a motor sounds when you have put the magazine in and it is wound on, there isn't enough bb's in the magazine.

You say it does seem to feed?
I'd try turning the hop off and try again. It could be getting jammed at that point.

Re: Cyma cm028 wont fire
Disconnect and take the battery out.
Turn the gun upside down and look up into the hop unit. If it looks white in the tube chances are you have a bb stuck.
If it is looks the same colour as you hop unit. Push the hop adjuster as far as it will slide towards the front end of the barrel, turn the gun upside down and gently, repeat gently, insert the cleaning rod untill you can see the end of the rod through the hop tube. If you feel some resistance befor you see the end of the rod, you have something stuck in the barrel.
You can use some gentle pressure to push it towards the hop, but really it needs the barrel taking out and cleaning properly.
A stupid question....You didn't manage to jab the barrel into some muck or anything did you.
Also if you are using Ni batts they can die dramatically in the cold weather.
Fully loaded hi cap?

Re: Cyma cm028 wont fire
Dead battery sounds like a good possibility, as said above, the cold kills batteries really quickly.
If not, turn the gun upside down and, while looking at the feed tube, fire the gun. Do you see the feed nozzle moving backwards and forwards? If you do, the problem is in the barrel, hop or mag. If not, it's in the GB.
If the feed tube is moving, try manually dropping a BB into the feed tube while the gun is upside down and then firing it. If it fires the BB out at normal speed, the problem is definitely the mag.

Re: Cyma cm028 wont fire
Ok thanks guys for your help, i think it is the mag. I was just wandering though does it damage the magazine or gun to leave it in the magwell and can you also leave bb's in the magazine or does it damage the magazine as well?

Re: Cyma cm028 wont fire
Leaving BBs in the mag will weaken the spring.
Leaving the mag in the magwell will weaken the spring on the top of the mag that keeps in place the little bit of plastic which holds back the BBs (whatever the hell it's called).
