Barrel Help
2 November, 2012, 09:25
Good morning All,
I was looking at getting a new tb barrel for my car15 yesterday and had a look at some advice on here. The majority seem to recommend a prommy 6.03 however on some other forums the majority seem to recommend a PDI 6.01.
Price is not an issue as their is only $35 between them.
I was planning on using my firefly hop set with a mad bull ultimate hop unit with the barrel I buy. Would that setup work?

Re: Barrel Help
I use a Prommy 6.03 with firefly hop in my TM Recoil, works very well!

Re: Barrel Help
In general once you reach somewhere around 6.05~6.03 accuracy begins to increase at the cost of range, so if you're going to be doing CQB more then I'd recommend the 6.01 but personally I'd go for the 6.03 to avoid any notable range loss while still being pretty accurate. It's also worth noting that I don't know the actual severity of loss, so it may well be negligible anyhow.

Re: Barrel Help
IIRC, Madbull Ultimate Hop units have best results with Madbull barrels as they're a little thinner than other brands. Consider the 6.03 Black Python II barrel. I've got one running in my MP5 and it fires rather nicely.
