That sounds nasty, mine is stock apart from the 1J spring and it is the dogs dangles, a VERY good first gun. Plus in CQB it is a beast because of its folding stock.

TBH if it's 400fps and you bought it from a UK retailer they've sold you something that's illegal. Anything over about 377fps is Section 5 firearms territory

True but unless they crono each and every gun (im sure this was a discussion on a now dead airsoft forum
) the cant tell what it is. But i agree they shouldn't sell things above 350 IMHO.

See mine was under powered, someone got a little over zealous with a spring chop and took down to about 240, and plus the sealing on mine sucked, but I think I just got the Friday afternoon special, that was finished and QAed by the work experiance monkey.

I would try and get it done by someone who has experience as it is a tricky job if you have not every opened a gearbox before.

Re: Downgrading a&k lr-300 by 50fps
If you get it from a shop, ask for them to do it for you, say what you want it to be and they will strive to sort it (UK that is) but they will more than likely charge you for it, Im one of the lucky few that has a good customer relationship with a shop owner, so he does it for free when I buy a new gun(upgrades and downgrades), but if hes too busy, I do it myself, self taught, and had many a swearing sessions and nearly smashed mirrors/TVs/computer monitors ETC from spring guide escape attempts.
